Badli Ki Sarai
GATEWAYS OF BADLI-KI-SARAI (PIPALTHALA BADLI) This sarai was built during the late Mughal times. The enclosure of the sarai, with its arched rooms,has disappeared, but its two gateways through which the Grand Trunk Road originally passed still stand. During the First War of Independence in A.D. 1857, it was the stronghold ofIndian forces. On 7'h]une 1857, a fierce batdewas fought here.
