Description
Private Ownership Colonial period Community hall
This building is in use as a community centre, and retains a rich ground floor facade in buff-coloured sandstone. It is accessed through a pointed arch dalan with a recessed pointed arch doorway. On either side are low otlas faced with geometric patterns, and compound pilasters with a climbing floral vine. The outer arch has a wave like fringe and an enshrined idol at the apex. The spandrels feature bas-reliefs of garland-bearing nymphs. The recessed arch is framed with an inlaid stone inscription. To one side of the dalan are simple sandstone panels, some with decorative ventilators with floral patterns. The remaining panels retain inlaid stone inscriptions
